Island of Elba<\/h3>\n\t<\/div> [vc_column_text]Elba is the third largest Italian island and the largest in the Tuscan Archipelago. The island, Situated at 10 kilometres from the mainland, can be accessed by ferry or hydrofoil in one hour of navigation. Besides the fact that her perimeter measures only 147 kilometres, Elba is capable of offering a mild climate and a multitude of diverse landscapes and scenery: romantic fishing villages, small towns on rocky hill-tops, ancient castles, green valleys and enchanting bays combined with sandy beaches. Only minutes away from the steep cliffs that plunge into the crystal clear sea, the granite mountain, Monte Capanne rises to 1019 metres of altitude.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il nostro agriturismo si trova nel versante nord-ovest dell’Isola, in una tranquilla zona di campagna, tra il paese collinare di Marciana e quello di Marciana Marina, dal quale dista appena due chilometri.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marciana Marina<\/h1>\n\t<\/div> [vc_column_text]Marciana Marina with her picturesque districts, small granite streets and pastel colored houses lining the sea shore is one of the smallest council districts in Italy.<\/p>\n

The old fishing village of Cotone is particularly characteristic with old colorful houses decorating the cliff faces and boat moored on the beach out side the front door.<\/p>\n

The extensive shoreline adorned with rows of tamarisks set an ideal scene for a relaxing stroll that will eventually lead us to the Cosimo I de Medici Tower. Built in the 16th century, this tower was vital to Marciana Marina’s defence against the Saracean pirates. The antique tower has become an important landmark, a symbol for this town which evolved from her simple farming and fishing roots to become a popular tourist destination.<\/p>\n
